If you have problems making your hubs last longer on your splined hubs, do this. The reason the hubs wear out is that the hub is a softer material than your axle.

After some quick starts it begins to wear the metal down. To rectify this, remove your cotter pin and hub nut and every few months tighten it up to take up the wear that has been done to your hubs.
